Delete Account & Data

Delete it yourself in the app

Sign in and open Settings → Delete Account (job seekers can also find it on their profile page). You'll be asked to confirm by typing your email address, then your account and data are deleted immediately. If you have any last questions first, contact shutdownboard2026@gmail.com.

Don't have access to the app anymore? Email shutdownboard2026@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

Want a copy of your data first?

Before deleting, you can download everything you've added to ShutdownBoard — your profile, applications, messages, uploads and more — from Settings → Download my data.

What gets deleted

• Your account, profile (worker or company) and private contact details
• Your job postings and every application tied to them
• Applications you've sent, saved jobs, saved workers and reviews you wrote
• Reviews about you or your company
• Messages sent to you, your community memberships, posts and threads
• Notifications and preferences tied to your account

What we keep, and why

• Messages you sent — they stay in the other person's inbox, but your name is removed and replaced with "Deleted user"
• Groups you created stay if other members are still using them; they're handed over to the ShutdownBoard team with your name removed
• The user id and time of deletion are kept in our internal audit log for security record-keeping — nothing else about you
