1. Who we are
ShutdownBoard is a platform that connects industrial tradespeople with employers posting shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance work. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Account information: your email address, name, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Profile information: details you choose to share on your worker or company profile, such as your trade, experience, location, availability, desired rate, and uploaded documents (resumes, tickets, certifications, photos).
Activity information: the messages you send, applications you submit, jobs and workers you save, community posts you create, and reviews you leave.
Usage information: basic analytics about how the app is used, such as which features are visited.
3. How we use your information
To create and maintain your account and profile.
To show your profile to employers (workers) or your postings to workers (employers), according to the visibility settings in the app.
To send you the notifications you enable — for example, emails about new jobs in your trade, new messages, application status changes, or community activity.
To operate and improve the platform, and to review content (such as job postings and groups) before it becomes publicly visible.
4. What others can see
Profiles, job postings, group activity, and reviews are visible to other users of the platform. Direct messages are visible only to their sender and recipient. You can edit or remove profile information at any time from your profile page.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the platform (for example, the hosting and email delivery services that power it), or when required by law.
6. Your choices
You can update or delete your profile content at any time.
You can turn individual notification types on or off from your profile page and from Settings.
You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time using "Delete Account" in Settings — this removes your profiles, applications, messages, and community content.
